Google Fi Gains New $35/Month Unlimited Plan, Improved iPhone Integration - MacRumors

🔍 Summary:

Google has introduced a new Unlimited Essentials plan for its Google Fi Wireless service, marking the 10th anniversary of the cellular service. Priced at $35 per month for a single line, this plan offers unlimited calls, texts, and data, with the first 30 GB at high speed. Google Fi, an MVNO utilizing T-Mobile’s network, has expanded its offerings since its inception, now supporting iPhones since 2018 alongside select Android devices.

In addition to the new Unlimited Essentials plan, Google Fi has revamped its other plans. The Simply Unlimited plan has been renamed to Unlimited Standard and now provides 50 GB of high-speed data (previously 35 GB) and 25 GB of hotspot data (increased from 5 GB) for $50/month. The top-tier Unlimited Premium plan, formerly known as Unlimited Plus, now includes 100 GB of high-speed data and 50 GB of hotspot data.

Further enhancing its service, Google Fi has introduced support for data-only eSIMs, allowing devices like iPads to access Google Fi as a data option. This update complements the existing physical SIM options. Additionally, the service’s 5G coverage has expanded to over 92 international locations for Unlimited Premium users, and international 5G is now available to iPhone users as well.

For iPhone users, an upcoming update will integrate Google Fi more seamlessly, enabling them to listen to voicemails directly through the iPhone’s Phone app instead of the separate Fi app. This update aims to streamline the user experience for iPhone owners on Google Fi.
